I Was Wrong. The World Is Changing Faster Than We Think.

I was wrong.
For almost two years, working across large warehouses and solar farm projects has completely changed how I see the world.
Our journey into large warehouse operations began with HelloFresh. Then came On-Site Energy, which opened the door to our first solar farm project. Since then, we've supported multiple renewable energy sites and attended industry exhibitions that have challenged how I think about infrastructure.
Most of us only see projects when they're finished.
We drive past enormous solar farms, warehouses like those operated by Iron Mountain, and new industrial developments without thinking about what it takes to build and operate them.
Meanwhile, the world is changing at extraordinary speed.
Online shopping is driving demand for warehouses. Artificial intelligence is increasing demand for data centres. Renewable energy is becoming increasingly important.
But can our energy infrastructure keep up?
And who supports the people building all of this?
That's where my understanding of site support changed.
It's not just cleaning.
It's site mobilisation, welfare facilities, labour support, warehouse cleaning, after-build cleaning and site demobilisation.
It's supporting contractors and project managers from the beginning of a project through to handover.
As a husband, father of two and founder, these experiences have changed my perspective.
Today, when I see a solar farm, I don't just see panels. I see the people behind the project.
And when I see a warehouse, I see the infrastructure keeping our economy moving.
I thought we were building a cleaning company. I now realise we're building a site support business that helps keep major projects moving.
The world is changing faster than we think.
And I'm proud Fresh Joy is playing a small part in building its future.
